VJ's story

I thought intelligence would protect me.

I did not start smoking as a teenager. I was around twenty-four. I read an article about nicotine addiction, became curious, and experimented. I believed I would understand the danger and stay in control.

VJ

It did not work that way.

Why this site exists

Smoking entered more and more parts of my life.

It became connected with coffee, work, stress, driving, celebrations, and loneliness. Underneath it, I found overthinking, approval seeking, and the old belief that I was not enough. These pages are for anyone who wants to look at their own story and take one practical next step.

01

Read without pressure

The book is free. Read a few pages or stop when you have enough for today.

02

Make a plan

Write down why you want to quit, when urges usually arrive, and who can help.

03

Handle the next craving

Change the next few minutes instead of trying to solve the whole future at once.

04

Begin again after a slip

Look at what happened, make one adjustment, and return without punishing yourself.

05

Ask for human help

A doctor, pharmacist, quitline, or trusted person can make quitting less lonely.

06

Join with care

The WhatsApp group offers company. Read the privacy warning before you join.

A few things I believe

You can be honest without being cruel to yourself.

When you are struggling

  • Take the next few minutes first
  • Move away from the cue if you can
  • Tell someone the urge is strong
  • Use the help already in your plan
  • Get urgent help if you feel unsafe

When you are ready

  • Read the free book
  • Write a private quit plan
  • Prepare for your familiar smoking moments
  • Ask a professional about treatment
  • Join the community if the privacy tradeoff feels right

Choose one next step

You do not have to do everything today.

Read the book, write a plan, or use the one-minute craving tool. If you want treatment advice, go straight to the official support page.
